Malaysia Headlines

Beware the Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE)

AGE is basically the inflammation of the stomach and intestines. It is caused by a water-borne virus known as rotavirus which can spread by contaminated hands, objects such as toys, food and water. But, what is extremely frightening is the rate it is affecting many citizens of Malaysia, particularly the children and infants. A total of 2686 cases were reported since its outbreak in Perak last month. Many kids and infants had since been affected, with two infants allegedly dying from dehydration after being infected by the virus. Menteri Besar Perak Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir has since then instructed health agencies and departments to research about the death of the two infants. Whilst investigation is being carried out, all water must be boiled before drinking as a precautionary method.

KFC Fight Not Over Racist Issues

Please note that the assault on the customer by a KFC employee is not over racist issues. The assault had occurred because the customer, Danny Ng was complaining that the employees should have revealed the truth - there were no more chicken. This was proven by the video posted by Jess on facebook. Separately, KFC Malaysia expressed deep regret over the assault. The workers of that team had since then been suspended and an extensive internal investigation had been launched.
