Global Village
Hosted jointly by AIESEC, European Society, Itchy Feet and the SU, the Malaysia Club participated in Global Village - a cultural extravaganza.
The details are as follows:
Date: Tuesday 4th February
Time: 11am - 3pm
Venue: Saw Swee Hock Student Centre
It was a melting pot of cultures from countries like Japan, Romania and many more. The Malaysia Club contributed costumes for display as well as the traditional Malaysian game 'batu seremban' for students to try.
There were also a variety of 'kuih' such as karipap, kuih lapis, onde onde, serimuka and kuih talam. At our stall, we also promoted our annual stage production, Malaysia Night '14: We Called That Home.
We did a flash mob as a major method of promotion, which was a huge success. The flash mob can be viewed here.
We'd like to thank Tourism Malaysia for providing brochures promoting Malaysia for the event. We felt that this event fully represented our culture based motive of the club and look forward to future cultural events.
