Newsletter ST12 #2

Thursday, May 03, 2012 yueesun 0 Comments

First week into the Summer Term (ST) and we are aware that our members are preparing hard for the coming examinations. This will be one of the few newsletters that will be sent out during ST and for more updates, visit our Facebook page.

Freshers, fall in!

As mentioned in the previous newsletter, a Facebook group has been set up for the LSE offer holders back in Malaysia. Full details are available here.

It is known that the group has not been growing significantly, so if you happen to know any offer holders, invite them to the group after kindly joining the group personally. It should also be known that due to the latest major Facebook policy change, you have to first request to join the group, then have the admins i.e. the committee members to approve the request. This is to prevent robot spammers, just to say the least.

In addition, a Buddy System has been initiated to establish a mentoring scheme for the next batch of freshers. Recruitment of mentors has started since Lent Term and you can sign up HERE, along with further details about this scheme.

Other plans for the freshers include the annual Freshers' Camp.

Sponsored: Student Storage Company UK

We are aware that some of you are looking for a storage place for the summer to keep your belongings. With that in mind, the LSESU Malaysia Club Committee has teamed up with the Student Storage Company to bring exclusive benefits for our members.

The committee members are constantly working hard to negotiate benefits for our members. During our latest meeting with the company representatives, we are glad to announce that the SSC has agreed on a further £10 off delivery charges (T&C apply).
